Dining room in Victorian terrace (London)

DSC_8605.jpg

A partition wall was removed to create a much brighter and airy dining room in this Victorian terrace which had previously been decorated with dark wood panelling and clashing wallpaper patterns. The design scheme included some Japandi influences, with a warm dusty pink used on walls (Temple, by the Paint and Paper Library, in both its paint finish and matching seedpod textured wallpaper), accentuated by black furniture and house plants, and soft touches such as upholstered dining chairs and a paper-like pendant above the dining table.  Traditional swan neck plaster cornices were reinstated and a sustainable bamboo flooring fitted. The result is a heart-warming and colourful dining room, perfect for family living.
