Bedroom and ensuite bathroom (Kingston-upon-Thames)

IMG_4088.jpg

Formerly used as a study, the space was transformed into a light and airy bathroom retreat. A neutral and grounded colour scheme was given a luxurious treatment with the addition of ivory crackle glaze tiled walls, brass concealed tapware and a marble basin. Stud walls were created to host all pipework and create ledges on either side to give the space some form. A shoulder high partition wall was also introduced to separate the wall-hung toilet from the basin area, to provide some privacy and improve the view from the adjoining bedroom.

In the bedroom, a silk-effect luxury vinyl wallcovering in emerald tones frame the bed (Expedition Tasar by Arte International), acting as a headboard. The large sash window is dressed with a textured voile, enhancing the feeling of light and airiness of the space. Both rooms are colour drenched in a nude pink with a yellow undertone (Felt Cute by Coat Paints) for an ultimate cocooning effect.
